i have recently had my 3 year old corn snake sexed, its a okeetee, and shes female, i have also got a new carolina hatchling, currently unsexed, the size between the two is unbelievable, considering i cannot remember my okeetee ever being that small!!
could i place them both in the okeetees 4ft viv, once the carolina is bigger? if yes how big would it need to be so it wont be bullied/eaten.

Even if the hatchling was a male you would have to wait a few years anyway.

apart from the housing together thing, to answer your other question, ideally you want the snake to be about 3-4ft before putting in a 4ft. Young, small snakes suffer with insecurities, especially when put in a viv that's too big.
Co habiting has its ups and downs, yes its easier to keep, but you also need a second area for them anyway as you have to separate when feeding. I co habit some of my animals, no problems in the couple of years I have done it, but I have facilities to separate for feeding, and they are well watched! That said, its better to house individually, its easier and required for feeding anyway.

Unsexed- NO
Size difference- NO

Your hatchling would need to also be female, and as big as your okeetee, and even then its not advisable. Snakes are solitary animals and shouldn't be made to live together.

Read this thread and you will see why- http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1070

It is posible that the older snake will kill and eat the infant.
Unless they are male and female and you are breeding they should not be kept together.

Please read this topic:

It is a sticky on the forum, meaning its a frequent question from new members and is one myself (and most other members) strongly advise against.
Welcome to the forum, if you go to the introductions side of the forum you can introduce yourself there.

On this topic however, I'll keep it short and just say: "no you should not co-habit snakes".

They don't in the wild unless breeding and the only benefit is to the owner and that is there will be less space taken up by viv's in the house and less expensive to house 2 snakes.

Please don't!

You should never put 2 corns in the same viv unless they are around the same size and even this is somewhat frowned upon.
