As some of you may know, I have been getting Stella onto Fuzzys slowly.

Her last 3 feeds have been...

5g + 3g Pinkies
4.5g + 4.5g Pinkies
5g + 3g Pinkies

I have got an assortment of pinkies and fuzzys in, and was going to try her with a single fuzzy tonight.
The 7g and 8g Look too big for her, so i am going to try a 6g.

This is a 2g or 3g drop from what she has been having (total weight) but is a bigger single item.

Do you think this would be okay?

Thanks

Gaz

To be fair I think Rep shops tell you what "they think" is right without taking into account the individuality of the snake. For instance all of the snakes that hatched the same time as colin are all on mediums now apparently. However as any of you know thats seen a batch of hatchies they are not all the same and tend to grow at different rates so what applies to snakes that were hatched the same time as colin dont nessesarily apply to him. Thats why I always rely on common sence. After all you can always give them two little ones instead of one large.

The 2 smaller ones is a good way to get ready for the jump to the next size up, it's just giving them a bit more to digest until they get the bigger single meal.

Cheers folks. I didnt think it would matter.

Just wanted to get her back onto 1 prey item instead of 2 smaller ones.

Thanks

elament i dont blame u for not listening to what the rep/pet shop said about the snake been on medium they tend to tell you what they think u whant to know and to get money out of you.

Same ere to be honest. I been told by the shop Colin should be on mediums by now but I got one the other day and thought no way is that being offered for a while its way to big!

Actually, I totally agree with that.
Some people do weigh their mice, I personally don't see the need.
If it's not thicker than the snake, then it should be good to eat.

If it is to thick, then it's not.
I've never weighed my mice, I go purely by look.

Forgot to add...

I will then feed her 6g for a few weeks and try to move her up slowly 1g at a time untill she is on small mice.

Thanks
