hi all
could anyone tell me what the ideal humidity level is for corns, just want to make sure i keep my corns in the best conditions possible. |

generally you shouldn't need to worry about humidity and tbh not many people even bother with a hygrometer to monitor it with corns
the exceptions are for example, if you were using orchid bark for substrate (that's very wet unless baked neforehand), or for some reason got a lot of moss in the viv (rather than just in a damp hide or two to aid shedding) |

Normal room humidity is fine, around 50%. Corn snakes do not need to be kept in a humid environment, in fact that can be very bad for their health and can lead to fungal growth in the viv, scale rot and respiratory infections. Just make sure you dont have any condensation in the viv and the substrate is dry and keep your water bowl at the cool end. It is only during shedding that you might want to increase the humidity, by adding a water bowl in the warm side, misting the viv occasionally and adding a moist hide if the snake has difficulty with previous sheds. It may be worthwhile checking out humidity using the search button so you understand more about it.
