                | n/a | Posted - 22/01/2010 : 21:40:37 Im sure there will be others but will have to be water proof or have a laquer top coat of sorts as it'll need cleaning. Spray paint is easy to find and not too expensive really- especially if you make a few hides!

If you buy exo terra hides I would suggest small for cave too as snakes feel more secure in a "tight" spot i.e. body contact with all the inside. I have a long corn at 5 foot 6 thats on weaner rats and she fits in a large one of those! The cave raises up from the floor so she's more like a snail when she's in it mind you but she won't use the X large one I got her while ago!

Pringles tube, it's cheaper AND you get some yummy pringles.

I couldnt do that, every time I looked in the viv I would want Pringles...

Hmm true, pringles are pretty addictive.

Definately! However, couldn't the tube be covered with something to make it look a bit less like a pringles tube?

 im sure you could..
you could make that dough stuff (cant remember its name - think theres a post on how to make it on here somewhere..will have a look) and then mould it round the tube and then decorate it with non toxic paints ect

Ahh, salt dough! Never though of that and I bet it'd look pretty nifty afterwards! Although, think you'd probably have to use the tube as a mould as I don't think a pringles tube would do too well in the oven!

                | DannyBrown91 | Posted - 20/01/2010 : 21:24:12 Medium, and as for the humidity snickers, why don;t just just take out the moss?

I have a small cave and i just put a bit of aspen in there. Plan on using the moss when casper goes into shed, then afterwards will take out and just put some aspen back in there.

I would say a medium, whether it be a snake cave or a hide. I have both for Elijah, he is only nearly 17" and has plenty of room and I mean plenty, with the snake cave the entrance is 2 1/2cm across.

I have the small hide and snake cave for casper, s/hes around 14inches long and has loads of room, they should easilly do her untill s/hes around 20" - 2 foot, the hide atleast.
