Alright guys, Got a problem with Del i think, he's had two feeds now, each one a pinkie, 5 days apart, ive only seen his urinate once since ive had it which is about 2 and a half week and ive never seen him poo. i know this isnt normal.

He also seems to be loosing color slightly, and has seemed less active over the past week..

Any suggestions?

Thanks

unless hes fed on the substrate then its unlikely to be an impaction..

I hope im not wrong in saying it could be impaction?

I know from experince that when using aspen it can be pretty tricky to see their poo as it is so small and just mixes in with the bedding.

As far as we can see only the back of him is slightly duller, his eyes are no different than usual and he is active when we handle him (everyday for about 15 mins) unless he's been fed in which case we leave him for 48 hrs.

Doesn't seem to be a very large bulge, he is on aspen substrate but we put him in a box lined with kitchen towl for feeding then put him back i nthe tank after.

I dont know how heavy he is, I havent got any scales yet...

thanks for the help guys.

One of our two does not poo whilst in blue (shedding). Usually there's a big poo along with the shed skin. We'd just keep an eye on him, but it does sound like he's due to shed.

Hi Lee. I can understand why you might be worried about Del. What substrate is he on? As a baby their pooes can be really small and you may not see them. When you handle him does it seem as though there is a slight bulge near his vent? This is a sign that he needs to poo. Do you know what his weigh is and whether he is putting on weight? Corns wont poo much if they are digesting and absorbing as much of the nutrients they can and need from their food, meaning there is very little left to come out.

When you say he is loosing colour could it be that he is coming into shed? Have his eyes dulled/gone cloudy?

Sorry I cant help much, I am sure someone more experienced will be along soon with better answers.
