That is such a relief to hear you have found him!! Front door and step??? Does that mean he was outside?

A warning though...watch your use of tape in a viv cos of the chance of snake getting stuck!

Do you have any idea how he got out?

yipee found him he was wedged beetween the frontdoor and the step, i was just goin out and there he was very cold but ok,time to beef up security on the tank i think

hey guys cheers for help still looking its been 24 hours no idea how he got out but one thing in my favour he was due a feed sunday so he should be starving i put a fluff out last night and he never touched it, i will find him just when and where.

Kev, I am so sorry to hear about your snake escaping. It is so scarey when that happens, but there are a lot of steps you can follow...as shown in the links Skorps has given you. The main thing is not to panic and to look anywhere and everywhere, high and low, concentrating on small, dark spaces and anywhere that gives off any warmth. Also it is vital you put out water as they can go without food for ages but need water. I know this is all in the link but it is worth repeating.

Any idea of how and when it escaped?

Please let us know how you are getting on.

thanks for posting my post, i lost my snake about 4-5 weeks ago, thats my post that skorps has posted, thanks skorps, never give up hope, just place water down in every corner of every room if u can, evry weekend put food down, and try and make some bottle traps. i can't find the link for making bottle traps but some one else might have it. never give up hope. i still havnt,
