Posted - 23/12/2009 : 17:42:05 ok this is not hard to explain..so plz bear with me... 3' viv...habistat to control temps... stick-on temp gauge...60watt reflector heat lamp....and 2 digital probes.. thats the equipment i have in viv..the problem is... the stat is set for around 86degrees and the ambient readin from the stick-on temp gauge reads around 84 degrees...BUT under the heat lamp i have a probe and its readin 95degrees... i am puzzled, do i have the probe under heat lamp set to a lower temperature and have to ambient temps even lower...or leave things as they are...because if i lower the stat so the lamp gives out less heat...then the ambient temps reads low???? omg everything i explain or try to do just gets more confusin, think i'll end up with a snake sandwich and be done with it :) |

Posted - 23/12/2009 : 18:31:37 thx matty...at mo, stat is set to 83 degrees and the digi probe under lamp reads 87D and cool end is 68D...only diff i see now compared to past few months is i have a 60w bulb so the light is not on as long or as bright for as long, but that MY benefit thats gonna suffer :) |
