imagine if someone was holding you. Anything that would scare you : sudden movements, loud noises etc...
just be careful |

i asked the question, is it true or false that handling a corn everyday makes it more stressful? and some 1 said depends how stressful the handler makes it and i didnt know the handler could make it stressful
I dont think handling a corn every day will stress it (except the 48hrs after a feed of course) unless the handler acts in the manner that SB and I have suggested. Anything that will make the snake feel trapped, scared or under attack will cause stress.
As long as you avoid our suggestions you should have a stress free handling situation.

Posted - 24/11/2009 : 12:04:50 I would guess that handling the corn too much for too long....being too hands on and holding it too tight....lots of sudden movements and noise....lots of people, smells and chaos around....handling when they are 'blue' and therefore partially blind....touching their tail or head...dropping them or waving them around...all this would stress a corn.
I am assuming that is the sort of answer you were looking for lil-legs?

Posted - 24/11/2009 : 12:03:55 Quick erratic movements, touching the head or tail, squeezing or gripping the body too hard, not supporting the body, dangling the snake, dropping the snake, waving it around, causing it to bite etc etc. |

Posted - 24/11/2009 : 11:58:42 I dont understand the question?
How can the handler make handling stressful? Do you mean how can you make it less stressful?
Ive asked a handling question below, hope to get some replys in there soon,
