I'm just about to move spaghetti off double pinkies to fuzzies and went to my local petstore to get some fuzzies.

I've just looked at them and although they do look a bit bigger than the pinkies (I think) 4 of them have no fur that I can see, the 5th is bigger and fluffy (which is what I would expect from a fuzzy I guess)

Is this usual? Are some fuzzies not fluffy or has the shop made a mistake and given me 4 large pinkies and a fuzzy? I'm worried that my snake may be hungry if I give only 1 of the small 'uns I've been given - which would be rubbish because she's a greedy gett!

I dont know what to do! Any ideas?

as you are just moving her onto fuzzies one will be fine
eventually when the bump after the fuzzie isnt massive you can give her two or one bigger one

they're thicker, but not massivly so, but then again the pinkies were slightly thicker and she wolfed down 2 of them and was still on hunting mode, she's been giving me hungry waves all of yesterday so I'm just hoping the small ones will be enough to fill her. I think for now I will just stick with 1 per feed.

Hi Zan,
My corn has just moved from pinkies to fuzzys and the pet shop person actually gave me two months worth and they ranged from what looked like large pinkies to fuzzys (amount of fur on each mouse increased with the size) so I would say that this is the norm!

when i get my fuzzies i ask the shop if i can pick them out myself. that way i get to pick the ones i think look right for each snake.. if your getting them from a shop you go to ask if you can do the same next time...

fuzzies can differ in appearance as the time that they were alive for will differ between batches if that makes sense, they can be killed anywhere between 6 and 13 days so the size difference can be huge from the barely-bigger-than-a-pinkie size to fluffy-clearly-looking-like-a-small-mouse size, when you get some next time ask for smaller fuzzies and they should be willing to separate a few out for you
i have a range of sizes in my freezer as i didnt realise how big the difference could be,
hope this helps

the supplies your shop use will most likey grade them by weight so apperance may differ
