Amel is short for amelanistic (sp?) the 'red' albino. Red eyes, red saddles, orange body. the most common corn after the wild types. Check my piccies. |

hi cheers for info, this is going to sound strange, but i am new to this site. i was just wondering what the numbers mean before the type of snake you have. e.g 0.0.1 amel????
The numbers mean the amount of snakes you have and what sex. First number is male, 2nd female, last unknown.... (have I got that the right way round??)
so 2.1.1 would mean 2 males, 1 female and 1 of unknown sex.
The amel refers to the morph the corn is...amel and anery being the basic differences and then it gets a whole lot more complicated!

Posted - 21/11/2009 : 21:52:47 My corns pooped twice in a week. It proves theyr'e healthy as in the wild they don't know when theyr'e next rodents going to come strolling along so they suck out every little bit of nutrients from the food they can get and poop less.
As theyr'e fed weekly/fortnightly they wont need all the nutrients as they feed more regularly than they would do in the wild, so poop more.
Yes GP, Blaze gave me the honours of letting me watching him poop last night! |

Posted - 21/11/2009 : 20:40:52 when you're handling him he's more active which in turn pushes faecal matter through the back end of the digestive system more quickly......and out the other end......onto you! |

Posted - 20/11/2009 : 23:55:28 his poos seem normal, i increased his food amount a couple of months back. and there does not seem anything ab-normal. i do keep tissuse handy, lol. it is a good job too. wen i have him out i normally have him on a blanet also just in case i dont have tissuse then it wont go on the funiture. |

Posted - 20/11/2009 : 23:43:48 Have you increased the size of his feed recently? Are the poos normal as they have always been? May not be any reason except bad timing on your part, especially if he is behaving normally when being handled. You just need to look out for those signs and have some kitchen roll close to hand! (goes still, lifts tail at strange angle, vent opens and then squirt)
