i have my warm end set at ~27 deg C

as above but you can use ceramic/heat bulbs for the heat source these will help to maintian an abient temp in the cool end as well

Cool end 24-26
Warm end- 29-30 (no warmer)

always monitor your temps with a digital thermometer and make sure your heat source (ideally a mat) is regulated at all times by a thermostat. hope this helps.
