Fred had his/her's first feed with me last night & ate Mr P backwards, it's no problem at all.

Hi Kev. My baby Twilight's taken two pinkies backwards in the last few weeks - including his first feed with me which scared me to death. He managed OK though. Another one he had a good go at getting in sideways but had to manoevre it around to the head end eventually.

He's been hiding all week and finally shed last night. He's grown two inches and shot up from 8g to 14g in three weeks. Looks like backwards pinkies did him no harm!

if it's a particularly big food item for the snake they might struggle with its legs but generally they manage and it's not an issue, just might take them a little longer to eat!

Nope, that's totally ok. A personal preference of the snake, and I've heard of at least one who likes to take theirs sidways!
