Cant advise you on best starter kits norman, but just wanted to say welcome and well done for researching your new pet before getting it - so many people just buy and then realise they no nothing about how to look after their snake! Remember that no question is a silly question on here, best asked and answered (by experienced owners very willing to share their help and advice) than not asking and having you do something wrong or worrying about something. xxx

Yeh this site is your best bet, advice from people with snakes. When we got our 2 we printed out pages from the net to read but that can become confusing as lots of sites have different views. good luck

hey and welcome

the best website i can think of is this one... there is a really good care sheet on the home page which explains everything to do with keeping corns and anything you are unsure about can be asked on here
cost of set up is generally in the region of around £100ish I think but it depends on what housing you use, RUB's from staples or rymans are just as good as glass vivs, especially for hatchlings,
prices of snakes vary from around £30 - £70 with the younger the snake the slightly cheaper they are but it also depends on the morph..in general the more common the morph the lower the price
cost of caring for them is fairly low - i pay about £10 a month on food for mine (I have 4) but for one it would probs be around £5,and heating them doesnt cost much either

corns make great 1st time snakes but beware as they are super addictive!!!
