Okay , mentioned that my new Blizzard bit me last week , took the pic to prove just how traumatic one of these bites are . I can now bring myself to post this after extensive tests at the hospital and copious amounts of blood transfusions . It's time .

If any of you are faint hearted , please look away now , you have been warned .

For those who would like to see the effects of this bite , please scroll down .

I now only handle my snakes dressed in full plate armour and carrying a whip and a chair for defence .

Don't let this happen to any of you .

You must remember that if they do strike and hold on you mustnt try pulling them off, no matter the pain you are in, cos it could break their teeth! Their welfare is more important than yours, so you have to either wait until they let go or try the water as lee suggested. xxx

Yeah she just struck , so fast if it was'nt for the blood I would'nt have thought she got me :)

usaly they just strike but might occasionaly hold on for a bit,bit of water makes them let go.

i am actually shocked that no one has asked how the snake was after its ordeal of biting you.you could have gave it a nasty case of food poisoning.had you washed your hands before feeding it with your finger

If I was you I'd invest in an electric cattle prod. The whip is only any use if you are Indiana Jones.
