You could always order on the internet i use 888 reptiles for my frozen stalk aint orderd any live stock though i know people who have. have you bread corns b4? As you know they do lay alot of eggs it isn't always easy to sell the hatchlings and it will cost to house them till they can be sold . i know many reps will take a hatchlig in exchange for frozen food.i don't think a stumpy tail should prevent you from buying the snake but i would suggest trying to mate them when the male is roughly the same size maybe increase his feed slightly

just wont a female to go with billy for breeding would pay maybe slightly more for something very pretty but cart seem to find any in my area
matty18714 Posted - 11/09/2009 : 17:43:05
If you want a "perfect condition" snake for that price, you wont struggle.

thought some one on her might off had one for sale but guess i may just have to call her ms stumpy
matty18714 Posted - 11/09/2009 : 16:03:15
£65 is an alright for a proven breeder. The part missing from the tail is more than I have ever seen, though it shouldnt harm the snake. If you want the animal, then its an alright price. (doesnt hurt to make an offer though).

the owners of her have used her for breeding by acident they got given her and for the last 2 seasons had around 14 eggs atime and havnt let her double clutch she was mated with a male that looks the same (amel) and had anerys and norms from what she was saying ive just had billy out and notice the difference in thickness would say she is almost twice as thick but not much longer few inch if that they are feeding her on large mice once a week
SexyBear77 Posted - 11/09/2009 : 12:55:02
is she a proven quality breeder? and is she het for anything?
n/a Posted - 11/09/2009 : 11:14:14
they wont £65 for her is she worth it i have seen a few of her babies as yearlings 1 was a norm and 2 anerys
SexyBear77 Posted - 11/09/2009 : 11:12:12
she is an amel. the stumpy tail shouldnt affect her at all.

billy will probably be able to do the job, as long as they are watched like hawks!

been to see the female this morning all orange and white no black at all what morph is that?
did notice it had a stumpy tail when it was a hatchling someone didnt look after it during shed and part died off but it lays egg fine so not sure what to do it just looks funny

what do you all think
matty18714 Posted - 10/09/2009 : 23:03:07
She would probably bully him for the best spots. It would also be good to give her a year off from breeding aswell.
n/a Posted - 10/09/2009 : 22:39:33
going to see this female in the morning aparently its vivid orange and about 5 foot and has bred for the the last 2 years whould she be too too big for billy who is just over 3 foot
KITTYCAT Posted - 10/09/2009 : 19:21:02
im no expert but i thought they could breed at any time especially if you dont brumate them in the winter. i did co-habit my snakes n thought they were happy but after having eggs n seperating them we realised that the male was dominating the female. Theyre much happier seperate well the female is.

thanks matty thoughht they only breed during the season
