I been reading which i do alot ..and i was reading about hibernating your snake ....Do you have to do this or is it something just recommened....and what are other folks views on this?.

true,im doing it with my mexi's this year but only because it increases sperm production and gets all the hormones and theromones for breeding going when you warm them back up,if your not breeding just keep the temps as normal.

I think you only need to bring on hibernation if you are going to breed or if you intend going away for a long time without anyone to look after the snakes. Someone i know goes away for 4-6 weeks in the winter so he does it.

Does anything bring on hibernation unintentionally? Kellog staying in his hide nearly all the time at moment, which is totally different to his behaviour prior to 'mites incident'. xxx

I don't think it is absolutely required unless you intend to breed.
