Does your corn snake shed? It looks as though Bam is going into shed again as he is skittish and looking a little dull. He is just over 2 months old and has had 3 double pinky feeds. Is is normal for a hatchling to shed this soon? I know it depends on growth rate, but its only been about 3 weeks since his last one.
I have chacked for mites and there is no sign of them at all. Am I being a paronoid mum?? |

Yea as long as theresa g ood bump after, 2pinkys didnt really do it for Noodle so he is on Fuzzys now which im dead proud of him! Hes growing up, bless! Never h ad any problems feeding him, hes a greedy bugger! |

One pinky does not leave a bump at all, and I was always led to believe there should be a bump after feeding. Also the prey no bigger than i 1/2 times the widest part of the snake

2 pinkys is probably the reason for the fast shed cycle. i'd personally only be still feeding one at that age |

they shed as they grow, so if they're well fed they'll grow more and so shed more frequently.
expect 4-6 weeks for hatchies to maybe 4-6 times a year for an adult |

Thanks! after doin a search on here It seems young corns shed every 3-5 weeks, so looks like I was being a paranoid mummy again!! |

young corns grow rapidly and so shed more often. this slows as they get older, but they dont stop growing, it just slows down. he is probably fine, just growing healthily. |
