Posted - 15/08/2009 : 22:14:28 I'm getting my new baby corn snake tomorrowww! :D So, here is the little guy or gal's new home.
How do you feel about this set up? It's in a seven gallon rubbermaid tub with holes drilled in the top. When I had a corn snake in the past, I had her on pine bedding and in a glass tank. So this is a new set up for me. Does it look okay?

Posted - 16/08/2009 : 07:39:53 hehe! It's so funny which ones they decide they like and dislike! Jinx's favorite hide is this black cardboard fast food container that I just cut a hole in in a big rush when I first got him. I'm a little embarrassed to admit that he was pretty much an impulse buy, but...I really missed having a snake! :) And I had him set up within an hour of having him home and have never regretted it a moment, lol. The fast food container was supposed to just be a temporary thing, but he's never really spent extended periods of time in any of the other hides I've tried out, lol!
Thanks for the input, everyone! :) |

Posted - 16/08/2009 : 00:30:13 Bella bloody loved her toilet roll tube! I replaced it with a posh bamboo one and she took ages to go in it - i think she was a bit miffed ;)
I reckon the little fella will be quite happy in there :) |

Posted - 15/08/2009 : 23:17:01 Hmm! I thought only cedar was toxic...I'm pretty sure it was pine bedding. My old snake did fine on it for years, either way. Perhaps it was something else?
I'm going to be getting two new digital thermometers when I go to get her tomorrow :) And, yes, there are two hides, one on the warm end and one on the cool. I had made another hide out of a tissue box, but now I can't find it...lol, my room is a MESS! :D Hopefully it turns up 'Cause I'd rather use that than the toilet paper roll that I have in there now, hehe... |
