it doesnt hurt at all to help your snake, a moist moss hide will suffice tho. most snakes dont need any help with shedding. I offer both of mine food when they are due, regardless of shedding, if they want it they can have it, if not, oh well.

one of my snakes is quite happy to eat while preparing to shed the other doesnt it pends on the snake i tend to wait till theyve shed n feed them 24hours later no probs. ur snake doest need any help while shedding its shed should come off in one piece.

I think it just depends on the snake. Rizla is quite happy to eat while in shed mode and (touch wood) has never had a bad shed.

its up to you as to whether you offer food or not when they are getting ready to shed.. i offer one as it only costs 30p a pinkie so its no biggie if it doesnt get eaten..but if he doesnt eat it i will wait until he sheds and then feed him.. someone said on here that feeding during shedding is like putting on a super tight pair of jeans and then trying to eat a big meal.. his eyes will probably clear up slightly and then he will shed so he will probs shed anytime between the next 5-9ish days..

you can move up to 2 pinkies when there is no obvious bulge when the meal has moved into the biggest part of the snake
