hi all my local pet shop had no small white mice in tango is due a feed and he just shed they suggested rat pups??? any opinions/advice

Mhmm, snakes have excellent stores in them they can go for months without food, as said in previous posts, they don't know when a rat is gonna come along.

it might do him a bit of good. keep him active when he's "hunting"

yeah only feeding as one off he was due on tuesday but was getting ready to shed so thought it best to wait til he had finished

agree with flatpack. also, if they are coming in stock within about a week of when the feed is due, it wont hurt to let him go hungry.

I believe rat pups have a bigher fat content than mice. However, if you are only feeding once or twice till you can get some mice, then I would not think this would be a problem.
