Can I put bits of log from the garden in the vivarium for him to climb on. (from UK)

i buy wood made for parrots and bugies from my local pet store, as it comes with a screw and bolt attatchment, which means you can put it through the side of your viv. pre-sanded and super safe, though it can be dear. I also buy mopani root for aquariums.

Yes, but you will need to clean and sreilise them first. Stip the bark off and leave them in some baby sterilising solution for an hour.

I'd read in the DIY section topic "How to prepare wood found"

they need sanding and being soaked in bleech to kill the nasties and to make sure snakey isn't cut to ribbons.
