im finding it hard to keep the temp up im my vivarium to achive a temp over 25c my heat mat is over 30c well the ceramic tile is, is this normal?

i can keep the heat mat at a constant temprature but not the air temp

as long as the temps are fine the snake is feeding fine and there seems to be no health complications your snake should be fine. have you got your mat on a stat?

as long as my corns happy im happy just wanted to be sure because i got given him the previous owners used a lamp but ive decided to use the mat because its cheaper on electric

heat mats dont heat the air they heat the subtrate/tile/hide on top of them. corns are fine to get there heat from the belly up. if you wish to heat the air you will need either a ceramic buld, heat bulb or a reptile raditor

is it possible to run a smaller mat off the same habistat on the roof of the vivarium to increase air temp as long as its covered?
