im going to ask a q that to most of you will seem really stupid but owell..

montana has dark eyes and was told by Jim the breeder that he's due to shed soon but i wanted to know will it be really obvious that his eyes have gone cloudy even though they are dark? or does it just vary depending on the snake?

the reason i ask is that someone said they hardly noticed their pink/red eyed corns eyes change in colour and i didnt want to miss the signs that he will be shedding soon..

ok i feel silly now.. feel free to laugh!

Not done alot to be honest mate, my lil one had a pre-op assessment at the hosp yesterday (having her tonsils out!), other than that I've just been doing the gardens and being lazy - it's harsh not being able to go out much atm, but worth it when I bugger off to Europe I guess - only four weeks to go now!

thanks
my weekend has been ok..had fun watching M eat dinner yesterday - but wont ever forget the smell of warmed up pinkie lol
hows your weekend been?x

*laffs at Hannahb's silly question* NOT - u narna!

It should be pretty noticeable in your caro hun, Daksha's eyes always go really milky blue and the rest of her skin goes really dull - I reckon you'll def notice the difference as it does seem to be quite marked in caros. Put some pix up if you're not sure though and we can have a lookie

How's your weekend bin btw?
xx

phew glad to know im not the first person to panic a bit..

oooh ive noticed a lot of people on here own staffys..maybe theres a link between owning a staff and getting hooked on owning snakes? lol

Everyone has to go through the first shed at some point, and evryone panics!

Give it a few months and you chill out about it all, until then there is no shame in asking stupid questions. It's better than not asking as either stressing yourself out or doing somethind wrong. Thats what the forum is about really, like minded people sharing info and getting reassurance - you'll be helping ut another new snake owner soon enough.

thanks sparrowhawk lol

thanks guys much appreciated
ive noticed that his body seems to have a rainbow-ish iridescent like sheen to it, is that normal or is that a sign of him possibly shedding soon?

iv read up about it all but reading it and looking out for signs when there are very few pics to refer to is pretty difficult!

Depends what Morph he is.. Noodle is Amel so coudyness is really noticable, but sometimes tricky to see if your holding him or looking at a funny angle

it is easier to notice darker eyes go blue, you'll also notice the skin colour will change slightly too.
