I was thining about putting a strip of bright leds on the roof of the viov just behind the glass so you cant see them, but so the viv is illuminated.

Does anyone know of a product that already exists?

I've seen car kits that run of cigarette lighters but I need a mains one?

So basically looking for a strip of LEDs 36" long that plugs into the mains

Cheers

Joe

theyre top darts eh mate!

check this ebay shop for different colours too... http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/specialist_lighting_uk

can get red, white, blue, amber and green. i know some people have mixed a load together to make some cool affects. you can just buy the leds by themselves too without the adapter. awesomeness.

That's the ones I have and you can adjust the voltage on the power adapter to aletr the intensity of the LEDs. They really are excellent, I'll see if I can find a link. BrB

Click link below. These are the ones I have and I have them set on only 4.5v or 6v, ideal for a 3 or 4ft viv.

if you get a mains adaptor with multi votage setting you can adjust brightness

you could get the strips off ebay, and then go to maplin and they do an adaptor to convert 240v ac to 12v dc. Not too sure on the price, but shouldn't be too badly priced.

there are some. one of the members on here used one spot led. if you really want to do it probably work out as cheap if you find an adaptor for a 12v car socket to 3 pin plug. i know you can get it the other way round.

pets at home do aquarium ones that are perfectly safe for reps
