My 8 hatchlings are in fauns in front of the living room window which has the sun shining through it all day. Snakes felt pretty clammy last night. Are they too warm and could i turn off heat mats ?

As long as the mats are on stats there's no need to turn them off, you could try putting a fan in the room, just to give a bit of air circulation, bit like matty's fans for the viv,

there would be no need to do this for all the fauns, just to give the kind of effect of dropping the ambient temps.
hope this helps, scott
