So I got my first corn and I was being good and not interfering but.....

I just went upstairs and saw (s)he was out, and next to my camera so couldn't resist.

I got a couple of snaps, but them it ran off behind its hide again (its favorite spot at the moment), probably due to the flash.

I'm just wondering if I've undone the last couple of days of settling in or not?

here's the pics I managed:

Cheers

Joe

Its an old post, I ended up giving in and fed her on last thursday.
I've handled her on sunday and again tonight.
She's so cute!

If you are gna feed her on saturday, you could probably handle her on monday!

not identical ;)
I realise they all look the same so I've found the unique points on mine.
She has her 5th and 6th 'saddle' joined and another one joined above her tail.

dont worry too much, like the others said, have patience and all will be fine.

but it does suck not being able to play with them for so long!

W're in to hatching season now so you shouldn't be having too much of a problem over the next couple of months.

The reptile centre in Northampton. They are pricey (£75 for that little thing) but they are a really nice bunch of guys/gals and I spent 3 hours there holding rainbow boas, royal pythons and anything else I could get my hands on!!

They also have some woma pythons which are insanely weird.

They had 2 anerys in on Saturday, and loads of other corns

Their website is http://www.reptilecentre.com/

the way i see it, your snake has got scared (?because of the flash) so it found somewhere safe and familiar in it's viv............. that's GOOD!
sexychef Posted - 29/06/2009 : 22:11:22
that sounds like a good plan. i think you will get a sucesfull feed with that idea. good luck on resisting

*wait till Saturday to feed it, then wont handle it until at least Wednesday :(
n/a Posted - 29/06/2009 : 21:59:50
yeah, cant wait to hold it.

i think I'm going to hold off until next Saturday (last fed in the shop last Wednesday) to give it some time and to make sure its hungry to increase chances of a successful feed.

this little pet is already teaching me patience!

probably just startled. i wouldnt worry too much but if you wanna take more photos use natural light rather than the flash. i know how tepting it is to pick it up and just hold it but resist untill 48hours after the first feed. it is for the better good
