I am looking to get another corn snake in the next couple of weeks, after my last experience I am a little worried.

Can anyone recommend a reputable shop/breeder in or around Glasgow?

I visited a shop today and really liked the owner and he seemed very experienced and helpful, what should I be looking out for?

Any advice is greatly appreciated xxx

I'm so glad you're getting a new corn Pauline. I'm wondering how many Jaffa cakes Serpentus Exotics gave Gmac for the recommendation .

Xxx

I can vouch for serpentus exotics also. Great shop. Got my lovely wee hoggy from there.

I don't think you need to go as far as replacing the hides, as long as they 've been disinfected and well rinsed off, I'm sure they'll be ok :-)

Have a nice weekend, just think - there's most likely a snakey in one of the shops now, waiting for you to pick him/ her out :-)

Thanks for the advice, I have completely emptied and disinfected everything, and will do it again just to be sure before anybody new is allowed to move in. I might just replace hides and water bowls to be on safe side, just seems a waste as they are all brand new lol but better to be safe than sorry.

I am hoping to visit the 2 shops recommended this weekend (hubby is going to be delighted haha) and get some more advice and see what snakes are available.

Thanks for all your help.

I got my hognose from Serpentus exotics, brilliant shop, get a cuppy too! Nicki was feeding some young water dragons, one ran up my shoulder and stayed there to get a good scratch

Bit off topic, but I thought I'd mention it. It would be good, if you could completely disinfect ( with reptile safe disinfectant ) your snakey's cage, hides, water bowl and all the equipment - just to be on the safe side...

It's good that you've decided to get another snakey. There will still be some last years babies around, and they will be a bit bigger and can come with a good feeding records, just to put your mind at rest. Good luck, and looking forward to seeing the pics :-)

That sounds good! Dunfermline is only an hour away so definitely worth a look.

There are a few good breeders in and around glasgow, however none of them are on this page lols. As for shops pro exotics in Paisley is worth it, however a wee trek to dunfermline to serpent's exotics I would highly recommend it
