Posted - 23/11/2014 : 07:31:28 Having found and read a few threads on making Salt Dough hides, I thought I would give it a go. I think I may have made a basic error, so am after some advice. I used co**** salt, so the hides have an almost sand paper texture to it, due to the tiny lumps of salt. Question 1) would the larger grains of salt have any affect on Colin if they were to come loose, can salt harm a snakes scales? Question 2) does the hide have to be varnished, or can it be left in its natural state and I accept the risk of them getting damp and breaking/collapsing? |
