Hiya all, our frank, carolina corn 2 years old has not eaten since 15 march and is always out these days unusually. He is glass dancing now which I have never seen him do before so sure its breeding time for him. Please can anyone tell me how long this could go on for?

It differs between snakes Jeanette and even each year can be different. Last year Kellog stopped eating at the end of February and it lasted 8 weeks. The first year he did it he didn't eat for 13 weeks! This year it was the end of March that he refused to eat and he took his first small mouse last week, so only 5 weeks but I'm not holding my breath about him eating this week.

Nothing we can do about it, it's a natural fast and they're built to cope without food for these periods. But it is frustrating.

Xxx

Well, my boy fasted fr 4 and a half months last year. He's into 2 months now, so could be a while yet.
