my snake is dancing around looking for a woman.should I still be handeling him as he rattled his tail at me the last time I tried.this is unusual for him to do that so I left him alone.

I try to handle my three every day apart from 48hrs while they are digesting all of mine are doing the sexy dancing but I just get them out regardless and find that even though they are a bit lively I have no problem. Don't let the tail rattling put you off. You need to be confident in your approach and not worry about the showing off tail rattling.

2 of my males and my female are all in 'breeding mode' and I continue to handle them. The only issue I've had is that they're even more all over the place when they're out so hard to keep them from darting off where they're not supposed to .

I know the tail rattling is off-putting but if you don't keep handling him then he will learn that if he tail rattles then you'll leave him alone. He's just trying to pretend he's a big bad snake .

Cola does this and tail rattles every time I get her out. The best way I have found is to slowly put my hand near her so she can smell me. Once she has noticed my hand and rattled a bit I scoop under her and bring her out. It's a bit outputting when you feel her body rattling but once up and out of the viv she stops straight away. Try to preserve as you don't want your snake thinking if it rattles you won't pick up as it may continue doing this. I'm nearly used to Cola rattling but she sometimes catches me of guard with a big one. Just have to get in and get her out though as I'm sure a lot of others do the same thing.
