Sorry for the late response Andy. It certainly does sound like breeding behaviour. One of my males has started to 'display' already and I'm having to warm his mouse to encourage him to eat when normally he'd eat it just defrosted.
There isn't anything you can do about it. Just keep offering a small mouse on his normal feeding day. You could try warming it and braining it if you wanted to, to see if it tempts him. Or put him in a small RUB, covered, with the mouse and leave him there for a while. And definitely keep a record of his weight. Just pop him in a box on some digital scales before you try to feed him. The main thing to remember is that this is natural for them and try not to worry.
You say he has a heatmat....is it statted and are you using a digital thermometer to monitor the heat? What is the temp in the warm end?

hes very active, heat mat, once a week, small mouse, was going to try 2, he refused any, female above him, seporate viv

Hi Andy. It may be that he's decided now is the time for females and not for food but it's good to rule out other issues first. It is quite early and he's quite young for it to be that, although one of my males has started patrolling his viv and is very obviously on the lookout for something he's never going to get  .
Has his behaviour changed? If he is a lot more active, trying to escape, etc then that is a sign that it could be because of hormones. How often do you feed him and on what? Is his viv heated by a heatmat, controlled by a thermostat and monitored by a digital thermometer? What is the warm end temp?
Corns can go a long time without eating. One of mine regularly goes about 3 months once the mood takes him  . It's important that you keep a record of his weight. If it is down to him searching for a female then it's a 'natural fast' and he won't lose much weight. If it's not down to that then he will lose weight more quickly.
