Posted - 13/12/2013 : 16:07:58 What size vivs do you have for your adult corns?
I have Oscar in a 3ft. However, as he is now over 5ft himself, I'm considering getting him a 4ft viv in the next month or so.
BUUUUUT.....have read how some snakes are moved up/down sizes in viv and develop 'issues', ie not eating, regurging, hiding away too much etc.
He seem's 'happy' in his 3ft viv (generally quite a lazy corn, but makes use of both hides and his log) eats brilliantly, never had problems with shedding, toileting etc.
I'm now a bit confused as to what to do.....do I get the 4ft viv? Or do i leave him as he is in the 3ft viv? Helps pleeeaassseee! |

Of course I don't mind spending the money on a new viv at all if he needs it, but obviously if he doesn't it would be nice to save £100 or so haha!
I'll def look into putting shelves in |

Dear oh dear lots of thinking to do! |

Posted - 16/12/2013 : 10:38:53 How deep is your viv? 4/5 of my corns are in 4ft vivs but they are narrow, 15" wide :) My 5ft2" corn is in one happy as pie in it, he moves around a lot so it's perfect for him. The rest of my corns are very small adults, less than 4ft and they are fully grown. 2 are in the same size viv as the corn corn and they are fine. The other corn though has a 3ft viv thats narrow as she is shy and stressy. |

Posted - 14/12/2013 : 23:37:03 If i was you, i would stick with the 3ft vivs, firstly its an expensive way of finding out whether he likes it or not, and he will be fine in a 3ft anyway! I put a 5ft female in a 4ft viv and she hated it, spent her entire time hiding away, and bit me for the first time! It didnt put her off her food though, which is part of the reason she bit me, but thats another story. I moved her back to a 3ft and she was good as gold again. For me, 3ft is fine for adults, I dont get any attitude or feeding issues, well, i didnt when i had a few corns anyway! |

Posted - 13/12/2013 : 17:00:18 All my corns are in 3 ft vivs but 4 of them are 2012s so not fully grown yet. My adults are small though. My adult female is only just 4ft and my big male is still around 3ft7 so they both have lots of room |
