Posted - 08/09/2013 : 16:47:18 How long do everyone's corns take to strike their food? Dodge is about 3 months old and the first 5 or so feeds he would strike instantly. Never constricted though but i understand this may come with age. Recently he takes upwards of 30-60 seconds to strike his food. Currently on 2x pinkies. Thanks. |

Posted - 08/09/2013 : 18:28:49 Depends on the snake and on how hungry they are. I have one of mine who often strikes me (even with 30cm tongs!) because she's just so impatient to get the mouse, especially now that she's back onto a feeding schedule of one every 2 weeks instead of one or even two a week for breeding. I have others who think about it for a couple of minutes as if planning their attack and lulling me into a false sense of security then BAM! |
