How long do everyone's corns take to strike their food? Dodge is about 3 months old and the first 5 or so feeds he would strike instantly. Never constricted though but i understand this may come with age.
Recently he takes upwards of 30-60 seconds to strike his food. Currently on 2x pinkies.
Thanks.

Wouldn't know; I feed my boy by leaving mousie in the viv with him so he just goes and picks it up at his leisure :P

My two males strike as soon as i open the tank! my female takes it VERY gently off the tongs or i have to leave it with her.

Depends on the snake and on how hungry they are. I have one of mine who often strikes me (even with 30cm tongs!) because she's just so impatient to get the mouse, especially now that she's back onto a feeding schedule of one every 2 weeks instead of one or even two a week for breeding. I have others who think about it for a couple of minutes as if planning their attack and lulling me into a false sense of security then BAM!

Sometimes mine strike as soon as I put the mouse through the doors and other times they can stare at it for a bit before striking, I guess it depends on how hungry they are
