I've only had Alaric for 2 weeks now. He's a yearling i haven't had a chance to weigh him yet. He was on a single pinky a week before I got him, they told me he was ready to move up to fuzzies. He has had 2 feeds since I've had him. I haven't seen him eat yet but yesterday he was out and about within an hour of eating, there wasn't a noticeable bump. Would it be too soon to move him to double fuzzies? I don't wanna move him up too soon before his body is use to fuzzies. Sorry if this has been asked before I did search but couldn't find anything.

The fuzzies are the smallest they had because he was new to them. He feed on Wednesday and had a poo tonight is that normal? I'm gonna try weigh him tomorrow. Haven't done it yet because between settling in, feeds and shedding tonight was the first time I've been able to handle him.

I think double fuzzies would be fine.ive had to feed mine double and shes younger than yours.the problem is when I buy my fuzzies they are more like pinkies.i can never seem to get a decent size fuzzie

Don't worry too much about underfeeding him; snakes can go months with no food at all, and while that's obviously not desirable, it does mean that Alaric isn't likely to come to any harm if you feed him slightly less than you could manage. It does sound like he could manage more food and I would agree that trying a larger fuzzy or a fuzzy+pinkie is a good plan, I'm just saying don't feel like you have to rush him up to larger meals :)

Hopefully that makes sense... :P

Ok cheers I'll get some bigger fuzzies. I don't wanna rush him I did think it might be a bit soon and he needs to get use to them first. So I just wanted to make sure because I don't wanna under feed him either.

Take it slowly, if he's been on single pinkies till two feeds before, it might be too early to upsize... You could try getting a bigger fuzzie, like Lee said, - weigh them, they can vary a lot - or, if there's absolutely no bump, a fuzzie+ pinkie. Up the food gradually, to give his stomach time to adjust - better than having him regurging. You'll probably see a growth spurt, now he's on fuzzies :-)

If there is no bump then I would say yes or try to get slightly bigger fuzzies or even the next size up. Some shops will let you choose which ones you want.
