Loki took his first feed since being with me just now :)

He refused his first when I offered last week but expected that as I had only had him for two days.

I'm getting frustrated that I still ain't the chance to handle him though. Since having him I've had the week hands off which ended yesterday but I didnt wanna handle him until I tried feeding him today which now means I can't handle him for another 2 days and I'm also pretty sure he's coming into blue :(

Oh yeah, I also watched him drinking the other day. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen :)

Congrats on the first successful feed :)

It's good that you're resisting the temptation to hold him. I'm a very hands-on keeper and I get a little frustrated just having to wait the 48 hours after feeding :P I'll admit that when I first got mine I didn't know about letting them be for a week and handled him straight away, and every day thereafter, but fortunately he's a very relaxed, 'friendly' snake and it didn't seem to do him any harm... didn't affect his eating at any rate! Still, that was just luck on my part that I got a calm snakey.

Anyway, regardless of all that, here's hoping for a good shed :)

i've just joined the no handling club because my snake has just come home group again and its so annoying lol but being my sixth snake i've learned to resist the temptation now.

Soooo frustrating....still another week or so by the sound of it and you'll have a nice bright Loki all ready to explore his owner!

Good news on the feed too.

Sounds like he is doing really well, and your doing well for not handling yet!

Sounds like he's doing well. Waiting to handle them is so hard but it'll be well worth it when you finally can
