It's been only 4 weeks since Dannos last shed and again he decided to do it at night with no one looking.. Measuring it against his last on, I'd say he's grown about 1/2 an inch or so in that 4 weeks. (13mm to youngsters and Europeans) is it normal to shed that quick?

I agree with Herriotfan about there being lots of forum members being VERY frustrated by their snakes always shedding as soon as they leave the room or look away . Even with my adults I've yet to see either Asher or Silvi shed. I have been lucky enough to see Kellog shed a few times now. I don't mean to make you jealous but it is an AMAZING thing to watch, them almost 'walking' out of their old skin . You've got years ahead of you to be able to catch Dannos shedding....and your odds rise of seeing a snake shed if you've got more than one .

As far as feeding him is concerned, if you are concerned about fuzzies being too big for him then it's fine to feed him two pinkies for a bit. Wait until the first pinkie has got at least a third down his body before offering him the second. But, as Herriotfan has said, as long as the fuzzy isn't more than 1.5 times wider than the widest part of his body he'll be fine with them.

There are loads of forum members who would love to watch their snake shedding.
Sneeky little devils manage to avoid being watched doing their strip tease!!
I have to say I'm one of the lucky ones who has witnessed the event and it's awesome to watch.
I hope you get to see it all happening one day.
With regard to feeding, you can offer a mouse up to 1.5 times the snakes widest part.

Fuzzies look too big for him. I guess i could try next feed, but I don't want to cause him any discomfort if he regurgitates it..

He should be able to manage 2 pinkies at 15 g. My little guy was on fuzzies at that weight

Perhaps at 15gs it's about time to up him t two pinkies every 5 days or so..

Yes, he's at the age when they shed every 4 weeks or so, nothing to worry about

He's 6 months old and checked in at 15g this morning.. Is that about right?

How old is he? It's perfectly normal for youngsters to shed every 4 weeks or so. I've just had my 21 month old do the same thing, no idea why but it was a perfect shed

Young corn snakes normally shed that often because they are growing. However their sheds stretch so it isn't necessarily an accurate way to measure growth.

They're so sneaky shedding when we aren't watching aren't they? I'm yet to witness a shed in full, despite waiting for it to happen several times. They normally do it when I'm out of the room, even if it is only for five minutes!
