Posted - 20/04/2013 : 21:30:21 My corn snake had her first shed with me yesterday, she didn't give me any signs that it was going to happen. She refused her feed last Monday and then 3 days later started to be extra shy, but she is a shy corn anyway. She let me handle her no problems but just wanted to hide in my clothing, I new she was not her normal self so but her back and left her. The next morning I got up early to find her but and about In her viv, most unexpected as only comes out in the evening about 8pm. She had shed half her skin and was very proud, I rushed to the shop to get wet moss and put it in her hide, she went in her hide and came out 30 mins later very happy and very shinny. That was very quick and was not expecting it to be over and done with so quickly. The day after offered her a feed and with no problems took the mouse. She did not change eye colouring only wax extra shy, so next time will look out for her personality to change then I know it's coming I felt a bit daft as I did not know it was coming but will know for next time

Posted - 21/04/2013 : 09:31:30 She is a snow corn (with yellow under her tummy) but her eyes did not change they stayed pink. I think I will have to go with mood changing to give me a clue next time :) |
