Hi I got myself 2 6 month old corns today. My question is I know I have to feed them out there viv so they both don't go after the same pinky and I know if I put them in there own sandwi box but do I move them back into there viv right after feed? As they need there heat to digest food. Thanks |

I'm so glad you mentioned this Lupi Lou. I knew I'd forgotten something  . I'm someone who has experienced a snake being sexed wrongly Vicki. When I bought Silvi we were told 'he' was male and named 'him' Silvesta. We had 'him' probed to be sure and it was confirmed. A couple of months later 'he' laid 11infertile eggs  !! 'He' was obviously a she.
I know we're bombarding you with info and links, probably not the response you expected when you asked about feeding your snakes  ! Please just take your time to read through it all and decide what you feel is best for your 2 snakes. Whatever decision you make will be respected  .

Hi and welcome. one word of warning I would give is that you need to be 100% sure that they are both female.I have a friend who housed hers separately and one managed to get in with the other, they thought they were both male (brothers) and one turned out to be female and ended up gravid. She was much too small and was very lucky to have laid without difficulty. I don't wish to scare monger just want you to be aware that popping and probing isn't 100%.

Hi Vicki. Herriotfan is right about you leaving the snakes for a week to settle in, which means no handling or feeding, just changing their water daily and fiddling with their substrate so that they can get used to your smell.
As for feeding outside of their viv....iplace the snake in a box/RUB and give it it's pinkie, then wait until the pinkie is about half-way down the snake's body (you should be able to see the 'bump') and gently lift the snake back into the viv, making sure you support the 'bump'. I have never co-habited myself, so don't know whether there will be issues because each snake will smell of food to the other.
I do know that there are issues with co-habiting. As Serena has said, people do keep snakes together, but it is risky and you need to be aware of those risks. I know Smartbunny has given you the link to the thread on here about it....and you'll see what a 'hot' topic this is. I find this explains it very well and would encourage you to read it - Can my 2 snakes live together? .
I look forward to seeing pics of them both, once they've settled in  ....and please keep asking questions! The only silly question is the one you don't ask .

Hello and thank you all for your help. Going by what I have been told is there both females plus sisters and there underbelly looks the same too. There wonderful little family members lol |

Hi and welcome to the forum.
It would be best to give your snakes a week to settle a bit before you try to feed them. The stress of moving might cause them to regurgitate their pinky and that won't do them any good. It's not nice for you either having to clean it up! 
After a week they can be fed. I'd suggest you feed in a seperate container, one snake at a time. After they've eaten then they need to be gently lifted back to their home to digest their meal. Leave them for 48 while they're digesting. Just do daily water change and substrate check.

You may want to look at some of the previous posts regarding cohabiting.

Hello and welcome .I also feed my little ones out of their house(s),the bigger chaps I feed in their own vivs.If you watch you can see when the food has moved well down.
If you feed dark mice to pale snakes you can watch the 'progress'
I don't handle mine for 2 days after eating. |

I take mine out, feed separately and wait 10-15 minutes before putting them back.
I've never had an issue, but you will be told and someone will post a link for the co habbing thread. |
