I'm sure you are all aware how crazily good at escaping baby snakes are.

Well quite a while ago now my only poor feeding baby disappeared.
No sign of her for months, we'd put it down to being gobbled up by one of the hedgehogs after she'd escaped.

Today as I went to open the back door for the doggies, I see them fighting over a bit of string. Choking hazard, eeeek!
When I tell them to drop it, Ripley brings it over and spits it out in my hand.... but it isnt a string.

It's Sprinkles. All balled up (though not limp) with her mouth hanging open. After a couple of minutes in my hand, she flicked her tongue.

She is moving very slowly, though I can't see any cuts or punctures and bone-wise she looks pretty normal - as in I dont think anything is broken.
She is in a safe little tub just now with some water, warming up to room temperature before I put her on the heat.

Although this means that every single snake of mine that has ever gone missing has returned, I'm still sad for her.

Fingers crossed she makes it!
I'll try and keep you all updated

Maybe we should add that one to the "things to try when your snake won't eat" thread...

"Let them loose for a few weeks/months"

It's hard to believe the change in her Figs, from fussy eater to a little monster....and all because she decided to go walkabout .

She doesn't look particularly skinny so does anyone have any suggestions of when to offer her something to eat?

Glad she's back I can only suggest if she's drinking o.k. then maybe a scalded pink when she's active?
SOOOO pleased she's back with you-hopefully she will stay put now she knows what end of the food chain she's on

Fantastic pic, by the way .
