Posted - 13/03/2013 : 15:18:43 Hey guys!
Before I start making my self sound as if i'm completely clueless I'd just like to say that i'm the owner of 8 corn snakes!haha. I have just been assigned (for 20% of my final GSCE grade) to do a 1-4 minute presentation on anything of my choice. I have of course chosen to do snakes. I know most stuff about my corns, but I just don't want to bore others in my class! I have already thought about taking a shed in and pictures of my snakes. I have to produce a power point about my chosen subject(so it basically acts as a visual aid.) What 'subjects' could I do?
If anyone could help me I would be so grateful! Thankyou, Emily xx |

Posted - 13/03/2013 : 21:35:25 That's funny - my 8 yr old had to do that last term and it had to be no longer than 10 minutes lol! He started off by discussing the 3 native snakes to the UK, then moved onto corns, and of course Corno. He really did a very basic presentation, didn't go into morphs etc but it still took about 6 mins so I think the time will go a lot quicker than you might think! He took in a shed as well which caused great interest. |

Posted - 13/03/2013 : 20:36:52 you've not got a lot of time to fill there so I would say keep it fairly simple,I'd take in a shed as that would be interesting as most people will not have seen one, you could then explain how snakes are different to us in that they shed their skin in one piece and how they are ectotherms, explain what ectothermic means.then a really good time filler asking 'has anyone got any questions?' |

Posted - 13/03/2013 : 16:11:29 Imo bring a few sheds to 'pass around' and spend some time 120 seconds doing 'Morph' pics you can talk genetics at the same time.
Throw in a feeding vid..
Maybe even a bite vid and pics...
