The internal size of the viv will be less than 17" front to back, so it'll have to put in sideways (unless it's a VX36 Vivexotic...)
I really like the Habistat mats as well. They are not printed carbon, and have screw on plugs rather than molded, which makes them better for fitting in a viv. |

Ideally a heat mat should cover 1/3rd to 1/2 of the floor space of a viv, so it depends on which brand you choose really. |
