Hello,

Can any one help me please looking at setting up a viv of dimesnions of(W)1150 x (D)490 x (H)434mm. i want to heat this viv by ceramic heaters and looking at getting:

Exo Terra Ceramic Heat Emitter 150W.
can any one give me a link to the light fitting and would a Heat Guard Square 12cmx16cm be big enough? would this also give off enough heat for the viv?

Thanks

And yes a 150W will give off enough heat for that sized viv

You need a ceramic fitting due the amount of heat the bulb will produce, something like this

And you can fix it on with something like this
http://www.livefoodsbypost.co.uk/pro-rep-universal-lamp-holder-mounting-bracket-3995-p.asp

I use these to mount my ceramics as it comes as a single unit

I use this guard but one brand of ceramic bulb I got (don't remember the brand) was quite long and was nearly touching the bottom so I bought komodo branded bulbs and they seem to be a bit shorter (I think these are 12x12x16)

You can get a longer guard though but I wanted it to be as compact as possible
