Jory's gone nearly a week now since his eyes glassed over before shedding, I don't feed him when he's shedding but he's more than a week overdue to be fed now because of him not getting on with it. Is this normal/safe? And should I try and feed him or just wait for him?

Glad he shed even if it was a bit messy, was going to add my boy just took just over 2 weeks to shed but he always eats when in blue so its not much of a worry how long they take they will do it when they are good and ready!

He shed last night and has just had a good strike on a mouse. He obviously struggled to shed though. Bits of skin all over the viv. looked like a war zone

Some feed when blue some don't. My Woody is blind as a bat at the moment but still struck like a trooper to get his mouse. It took about a dozen swipes and 3 attempts to find the head.
My MBK is also a blue eyed boy but has been fasting for 10 weeks now so didn't bother him. Normally he wolfs it down regardless of shed state.

Don't worry if the feeding is overdue. Just leave him alone until he's done and offer a feed afterwards. You will eventually find out whether he will take or not. All snakes are different.

its normal don't worry he'll shed when he's ready. One of mine has just taken 2 weeks to shed, I must admit I was starting to get a bit worried as his last feed was the 5th and he was fine. I personally would wait untill he's shed as it should be any day now. they can go a long time with out food, we seem to worry more than they do :-)
