something is really wrong with milo :(

i came into my room and i herd theses loud noises coming from milos viv, and he was frantically coiling around himself right in the very corner of his viv and he it kinda looked like he was constricting himself and looping around himself and coiling in to a ball repeatedly and he was wheezing and making strange noises and was thrashing his lower body and tail about.

i have never heard him make these noises and he was acting very distressed :(

i checked him for mites and his breathing went back to normal a few minuets after and i did notice that he wasn't tongue flicking that much and wasn't as wriggly. i also cleaned him out (just in case it was something in his substrate)and kept items i have viv to minimum (taking out and cleaning his plants and removing some of his branches and wood, just to make sure there is nothing living in them) and he has stayed in his hide.

this only happened a few hours ago and i have looked around the web to see if i could find anything and i haven't found anything relevant :/

dose anyone have any ideas?

That sounds awful, I'm sure it's nothing though, be sure to keep us posted on how he/she is doing

I have been trying to think of an explanation since first reading this and all I can think is maybe he had a fit? Sounds like it was and I'd watch him as if you had just turned the light on or something it could be epilepsy(can you get epileptic snakes?) so keep an eye on him. Has it happened again since?

No chance the wheezing wasn't hissing?

Complete shot in the dark - My mum had a very similar experience with our dog - with him, it was a delayed allergic reaction to a vaccine - but it hasn't just stopped by itself, he needed antihistamines.
Almost sounds like a fit... good thing is, that it stopped by itself, I suppose. I can't really think of anything other than keeping an eye on him, and if it happens again - maybe vets?
Hope he's ok and it was just a one off, like Red's Kevin.

I have had a similar experience once. Kevin suddenly shot out of his hide and threw himself about for a few seconds then went back to normal. He was only 9 months old when it happened and its never happened since. We put it down to him being startled, one of us suddenly putting the light on and standing up. Maybe the cat had startled Milo. You say he had wood in his viv, if this is wood that you collected yourself make sure that it is 100% safe to use, some woods are toxic to snakes.

nothing has changed in his set up, i only took some items out now, because i wanted to make sure there are no bugs in any of his wood or branches. his set up anyway has plenty of cover with plants, branches and wood so he has plenty of places to hide.

my mum has told me that earlier our new cat was in my room and she didn't know how long the cat had been in there.

i checked his temps and it was 26 degrees which i think is a bit low so i moved his thermostat and the temps risen a bit.

Has anything changed in his setup, are the temps still ok? Any chemicals been near him, aerosols sprayed near him?

What is your set up like?
