Posted - 13/01/2013 : 21:35:36 Hi, im new to snake keeping and i was not advised to use a thermostat from my local reptile shop. After reading a few posts on here i realise that its an important bit of kit! My question is, what are the differences between pulse and dimmer stats? and which would be ideal for a corn snake set up? The temps in Pedros faunarium are fine at the mo, warm end never going above 31 degrees, but come summer i can see that temp getting way too high. Cheers! |

Posted - 13/01/2013 : 21:41:04 It depends what heat source you use. I suspect you will have a heat mat in Pedro's faun so a mat stat would be best for you. I'd suggest getting a digital thermometer too to keep an eye on the temperature so you can adjust the stat if needs be. Habistat do a matstat and they are a good relible brand. The dimming stats are used with a heat bulb and are also good for vivarium use. Hope that helps. |
