Today he's looking really keen and having a good look around, he's also just tried to fit my wrist in he's mouth a couple of times. Which makes me realise that I was nervous about him biting me for no reason as I didn't even know he was biting me until I looked to see why he was constricting. But my question is how to go about changing the day he feeds as I want to feed him on a Wednesday to allow me to handle over a weekend, so I was going to feed him tomoz which will be 5 days since his last feed and then Wednesday which would also be 5 days? Would he be ok then to got the 7 days ? |

Posted - 04/01/2013 : 17:17:20 There's no such thing as a numpty question....you won't learn if you don't ask! It's unlikely that he'll strike because he wants you as food but more out of fear. He'll be fine to be left until Wednesday and then if you want to put him on a weekly Wednesday feed that will be ok. Snakes are opportunist feeders so don't be surprised when he gives you the impression of searching for more food. As long as his mouse leaves a bump he's had enough! If you have any other questions please ask. I bet somebody else wants to know the answer too!! |

If he is striking at you, it is only because he is not sure of you yet and not because he's hungry. Once he gets used to you the striking will stop. Regular handling will bring him round. |

Just leave it until Wednesday then feed him, it won't do him any harm
^^Ditto^^ A snake can go a long time without food so it really won't hurt to leave him a few days until Wednesday. It's also perfectly ok to feed him once a week if that's what you want to do.
cheers I'll leave it until Wednesday then but why does he seem like he's looking for food and also taking to nibbling on my arm ? |
