Hello all me yet again :) gonna be posting here loads before I dive in and pick up my snakey soon.. When it comes to feeding I already plan on buying a suitable size RUB but after the feed I know snakes don't like to be handled so can I just put him/her back without causing any stress? I know most of you will think is he serious asking this, I really am lol.. Thanks again to all who takes time to reply :) |

I feed Jake in his viv so I have no need for a feeding rub, I use repi carpet as substrate so no worries of Jake ingesting it. Its another option open to you :) |

Dont feel daft asking basic questions, like said above we all started somewhere.
I knew nothing when i first joined this forum.
As said above, either very gently and swiftly put him back by hand, or just offer the feeding RUB to his Faun/Viv and he SHOULD go in of his own accord, mine always did.

That is what i was thinking the whole putting RUB inside viv on its side so Snake can leave at his own accord, Thanks though for the replies its nice to know either option is okay. I will be posting here a lot more I am sure of it lol.. |

I feed all my snakes out of their vivs so that there is no risk of ingesting substrate with the mouse  . With Apollo I scoop him up and put him back in, he doesn't seem to mind, I'm just careful to support but not squeeze the feeding bulge and make sure he has it well down first.
With the hatchlings, I feed them in a small tub and simply lower the tub towards their RUBs so that they can climb in themselves. No stress necessary |

If you're worried (as I always am!) I just gently put the feeding rub into the viv on its side and leave them to crawl out when they're ready. |

just lift him up from the feeding rub supporting both sides of the bump and put him back.
And seriously dont worry about asking questions you dont know the answer too, everyone on here started at the same place ;) |
