Just wondering whether I could add a waterfall to my vivarium instead of the waterbowl.

Thoughts appreciated

I know someone that uses a water fall with their large adult corns that live in a group. They are in a huge 6ft+ x 3ft x 2ft glass viv though so I think humidity probably escapes quite easily and they use reptile AHS heaters so may be this dries the air a bit. Certainly would not be suitable for hatchlings/young snakes.

Scale modellers use epoxy to 'fake' water.

You might be able to borrow their techniques for the waterfall 'aesthetic' with out the pitfalls

Ok thank you all for the advice.

I had one for a while when mine were hatchies.... not worth the effort of pulling them out constantly!!!

I agree with what has been said above, would become very humid.

Not too clever for Corns with raised humidity. They don't really need it.
ScalySituation Posted - 30/11/2012 : 13:30:25
and could raise the humidity levels to dangerous levels

Ah that sucks

Snakes tend to try and get in. Get stuck and could drown. Sorry x
