Ahah made me chuckle :) there's a girl down the road where I live and she came round as she wanted to borrow one of my rosettes I won to draw or somethng and she looked in Dakotas viv and was like " where is he" and I was like "um not sure" and she was like "he won't come out and eat me will he?" I couldn't help but laugh, bless her.

Hahaha brilliant! I'm also inthe process of trying to get my mum to be more comfortable around the snakes, as she's probably going to be the one looking after them when I go to glastonbury next year! lol. She likes looking at them through the glass but that's about it, but I think we will get there.

oops. Im sure she will come round. sometimes curiosity can win in the end. One of my friends wouldnt come in the same room as any of the snakes. Over time she got more relaxed until eventually she was sat in the room while I fed one of the snakes on the floor. I'm not sure she will ever hold one but to be around while one is loose is a big achievement for her.
Just take it steady and don't push her too far too soon. If you do small steps over a period of time I'm sure she will come to love them as you do

Well my sister used to be just as bad but I figured its likely one of those things where fear of the events worse than the event itself my sis has never liked snakes and a bad experiance years ago with a friends agressive kingsnake was the icing on the cake so I had to tell her a few porkie pies bout how many and what type of snakes I had lol
My 6 yr old nephew was really eager to hold them which in turn inspired my sister she asked uf she could try holding one of the hatchlings long story short she was smitten then immediately wanted the royals out lol she was so proud of herself now when she visits she asks to get them out herself lol
